Ilias Selfati

In this short video, we meet Ilias Selfati surrounded by his work in the gallery abla ababou with which he collaborates. He reveals to us the importance of horses and animals in his artistic practice, a connection that dates back to his childhood. Over time, they became the central figures of his narrative painting, alongside vegetation and the wider natural world. Selfati reflects on a practice where color defines form and where color itself is a metamorphosis of his drawings.
