Greta Pllana

During two weeks, Greta Pllana developed “Membrane” as part of her artistic residency in Venice.
This video follows the process behind the work: materials, gestures, doubts, and decisions that gradually shaped the piece over the course of the residency.
Starting from the idea of the membrane as a living, permeable surface, Greta explores what exists between the visible and the invisible, between what is revealed and what remains concealed. The work emerges from fragility and care, becoming a way to give space to experiences that are difficult to put into words.
Rather than focusing solely on the final outcome, the film invites the viewer into the artist’s intimate process, where the work is built through attention, sensitivity, and transformation.
