Abdulrahman Adesola Yusuf's SENTIMENT draws inspiration from his earlier piece YOUTH (2021), which explored the complexities of coming of age, examining both the freedoms and challenges that come with autonomy in young adulthood. SENTIMENT serve as a visual homage to this earlier work, symbolizing the reflective nature of youth and the evolving self-awareness that accompanies it.

Yusuf crafted the glasses using spray paint and adorned them with elements from a neckpiece he owned in his youth. The materials and the process symbolize a personal connection to the past, while the artwork itself encapsulates the sentimental journey from youth to adulthood, capturing the nuances of growth, identity, and introspection.

Abdulrahman Adesola Yusuf is a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist from Lagos. A graduate of Yaba College of Technology, he uses his art to explore self-love, societal understanding, and introspection, creating pieces that encourage awareness and reflection.

Yusuf creates collage by merging digital illustration with photography. Through vibrant colours and layered compositions, his work explores themes of self-awareness, growth, and the interaction between conscious and subconscious impulses. His practice draws influences from the Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Pop Art, and Post-Internet Art movements.
