Queen Glasses

Katharina Goldyn

“Through my work, I aim to transport viewers into a parallel universe, one where
women have broken free from prejudices, stereotypes, and societal constraints.”
Queen Glasses
Queen Glasses builds on Katharina Goldyn's solo exhibition at Palazzo Pisani-Revedin in Venice, which was inspired by the story of Mary Magdalene and her relevance in today's world. The glasses contain photographic fragments documenting a participatory piece from the show, where visitors were invited to walk directly on a large-scale image. By incorporating these moments into the lenses, the artist creates a sensory bridge between body, memory, and narrative. The glasses become both object and archive, celebrating feminine presence, perception, and the depth of lived experience.

Poland
Katharina Goldyn is a Munich-based artist originally from Poland, whose work combines Surrealist and Dadaist influences with a deeply personal and visionary voice. Trained at the Institute of Fine Arts in Częstochowa and the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where she earned a doctorate in painting and sculpture, Goldyn combines a rigorous academic background with bold multidisciplinary experimentation.
Personal work
Her art challenges societal norms and reimagines spirituality and femininity through powerful, often mythic female figures. Drawing from nature and raw organic forms—branches, cacti, and natural materials—she creates immersive paintings, sculptures, and installations that invite viewers to enter parallel worlds. These are spaces where women break free from stereotypes, embody new roles, and reclaim forgotten narratives. Goldyn’s approach is radical storytelling: blending activism, spirituality, and poetic imagination. Her work is not just visual but experiential, encouraging reflection on gender, freedom, and transformation. As owner and professor at Munich’s historic Studio Zeiler, she continues to shape new generations of artists while pushing her own boundaries. Goldyn’s art is a call to explore sensitivity and strength beyond rigid conventions, a visionary journey toward a more inclusive and liberated future.
