DICHA-DESDICHA

Felipe Garavito Muñoz

“Artists are, in a way, illusionists… all of this is an ephemeral and transient drawing
—that is, a representation, a reflection of a reality that constantly reinvents itself.”
DICHA-DESDICHA
Felipe Garavito Muñoz explores the emotional and conceptual tensions that arise in moments of transformation. His work DICHA-DESDICHA investigates the illusion of the present and the complex interplay between opposing forces, clarity and confusion, choice and obligation, light and shadow.
Through optical projection and sculptural intervention, the glasses become a medium for questioning perception and space. The piece invites viewers into a world where illusion, reflection, and dispersion redefine the object and its surroundings, especially during moments of personal or collective crisis, when dichotomies feel most pronounced and spaces demand reinvention.
Garavito's work challenges the boundaries between material and immaterial, pushing the limits of how we see, feel, and interpret change. Ephemeral and transient, DICHA-DESDICHA reflects a reality that constantly reinvents itself, one in which the artwork exists only through projection, and disappears without it.
