FIL ROUGE

Cheikha Sigil is a renowned Senegalese stylist and designer. He founded the “Keur Gui” workshop in 1995, which led to the creation of the SIGIL brand in 2004—meaning “raise your head” in Wolof.

Cheikha has received numerous awards, including the “Silver Ciseau” and the Men’s Designer Grand Prix. He was selected for the “Africa is Fashion” program by the Française d’Action Artistique Association (Afaa) during the African Fashion International Festival. In addition to fashion, he works as an exhibition curator and creates installations and films. His workshops are based at Espace Medina Dakar, Senegal.
